Is this mascara worth the hype?

For years I have seen youtube beauty guru's wear this mascara in every makeup video they post. I got to wondering if this mascara was truly worth the hype it got. Some may say this is the best-selling high end mascara. Sephora ranks it #2 on the best-sellers, while Ulta ranks it #1 on best-selling mascara. The price point for this mascara is fairly reasonable. High-end mascara's can retail anywhere from $18- to $78. This tube of mascara is priced at $24 for the full version, and $13 for the mini. The full mascara has 2.7 oz of product inside, which is roughly how much is in the $70 mascaras. Most mascara's have a straight wand or a heart wand, but what makes this mascara unique is that it has an hourglass wand. This shape of wand was actually inspired by Marilyn Monroe's hourglass figure. The wand is designed to coat every single lash with each application.

I feel like finding the right mascara, is like finding the right foundation. Most likely, you won't stumble on the right formula the first try. Mascara and foundation are alike because you do need to try out different brands, and different mascaras to find the right shade, formula, or how it wears on the skin. I have tried everything from Covergirl Lashblash fusion, Maybelline Lash-sensational, Benefit They're Real! to the $2 E.L.F. Mascara I found at Walmart. But after all that I did find that the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara worked wonders for my eyes.

This mascara after application, made my natural eyelashes look like they had eyelash extensions, or falsies on. I didn't find that it clumped on my eyelashes, but my eyelashes only needed 1-2 coats of application. The only con that I found with this mascara (which could be viewed as a pro), is that it is very long wearing, or very hard to come off. I used my Neutrogena Make-up wipes after a 10hr day at work, and found that the next morning my eyelashes still had mascara on them. One thing is for certain. This mascara will get you through your breakups, and your chick-flicks.
